New month, new goals. I have such good intentions every day and as right as rain, nothing ever goes as planned. I would absolutely love to sit and write since my mind is filled with scenarios for my Billionaire series. But no. If it’s not one thing it’s the other.

My husband started a new job in August and trying to get the Health Benefits correct as been an issue. Since that’s been my work background, I usually take charge of those things. Being a new employee, he’s focused on doing his job to the best of his ability, so if I can help him out, I will. I think we have it solved. Thanks Joe and Lenny!

Our new home has taken a lot of my time as well. We had our 30 day walk through with our Construction Manager and he will address our concerns. We now report problems to the Warranty Manager for a year. We met with them on Friday at 1:00 and this storm came out of nowhere. But it was a good thing because they could see first hand the concerns we addressed.

But we were not prepared the next day, when our toilets backed up. This is a new house! It was a Saturday and this issue was an emergency. I let them both know and called the plumber who couldn’t make it out until mid afternoon. Why is it when you can’t use the bathroom, you have to go? To take our minds off of it, we hung my father’s antique clocks and the numerous pictures we had piled upon beds and furniture. Needless to say, we got a lot done. And we have working toilets.

Because it’s new construction, debris had gotten into the sewer line. The plumber fixed it within 15 minutes but the construction and warranty managers were not at all pleased and I think heads will roll.

But today is a new day and I will take advantage of a clean slate! Happy writing!
